Let Your Soul Sparkle

Sparkle Every Day: Tune Out The Noise

Jaclyn Sanguinetti
Speaker 1:

What's up, sparkle Squad? Welcome to Sparkle. Every day I'm headed to the beach. I am so freaking excited to be headed to the beach right now. You guys, I've been craving that like ocean energy for weeks, like literal weeks, probably even longer, because it's been a while since I've been over here and my schedule just hasn't allowed for it. And I had no school, for you know my nutrition school. I didn't have it this week, and so I thought for sure I'd be able to get over to the beach.

Speaker 1:

And just life had another plan. It just was really busy and it didn't work out. And so yesterday it was 70 degrees here in the Bay Area and I got off work early. Just happened to happen on a Saturday. I got off work early, it wasn't planned and my brother and I went out for a quick hike and I was like you know what, like I thought my hike with him was gonna last longer, and so it didn't.

Speaker 1:

I'm like, if you get a bunch of stuff done right now, like you edit your podcast for the week and clean the house and do all this stuff, like you could possibly go to the beach tomorrow morning. So I just freaking hustled and got it all done and now I'm headed over there and it's just like the perfect time because right now is a full moon in Virgo. So last night I made a list of things I want to let go of and today I want to like start working on my list of things that I want to like call into my life. Obviously, I do this like every single new moon just check in with myself what am I creating, what am I manifesting? Where are my goals? But I just I don't know you guys, like I just wanted to make sure to make a list right now, like I don't know, it's just something that was on my heart and I want to make sure to you know, clarify that with you guys.

Speaker 1:

The full moon is for releasing stuff, the new moon is for calling stuff in. But you could do that anytime, okay, you could do whatever your you know intuition tells you to do surrounding that, and I think that's really important because, I don't know, since spirituality and stuff with the moon and crystals and healing and all of this stuff, it's become much more mainstream than it used to be. I don't know if it's just for me, because that's the stuff that I consume, that I see much more of it on social media. But I want to make sure to always reiterate to you guys that when it comes to like your spiritual practice and your wellness practice, that you make the rules. So if you wake up one morning and your intuition tells you that you need to let go of some shit and you can make a list and burn it and get rid of it, why would you wait till the full moon to do that? Like you're being literally divinely guided in that moment to do it. If you wake up, you know April 24th and want to make a vision board who cares that it's not the beginning of the year? Like you're being divinely guided to make a vision board, do it.

Speaker 1:

If you're at a crystal fair or somewhere that you see crystals and you see some random-ass crystal that you've never heard about, you've never seen it on Pinterest, you've never seen any jewelry made with it, but you're really called to this crystal, definitely by that crystal. Look up its meanings, look up its proponents of what it does and work with it like there is no rule around all this stuff. And I think it's just one of those things, you guys, where we get so used to kind of like going with the flow right, like oh yeah, like let's just do what everyone else is doing because it worked for them, it worked for so-and-so, whatever. But really like nobody knows what works best for us except for us. The only problem is we always like we need to tune out that outside noise right, and it's not always easy to do, and especially when you're of an age where, like, you're kind of still being told what to do by like people around you teachers, your parents, you know, maybe you're in a relationship or the person that you're with is very, you know, open about like telling you what he thinks you should do or she thinks you should do. And you, guys, you have to tune out that outside noise like nobody knows better than you.

Speaker 1:

I've been especially experiencing this with my food lately. I've mentioned before how, you know, I had felt a little better when I was not eating as many carbs and then and definitely not like keto or anything like that, because I know I do not feel good when I've tried to do that in the past I remember there was one time years ago one of my functional medicine practitioners had recommended it and I was like I don't know. I mean, this was so long ago, you guys and I did it for like I don't even know. I just did not like it at all. I felt worse than ever. So this was just like I was trying to reduce some of my carbs at certain parts of my cycle and I will feel good for a little bit, but I don't feel good for very long. And then I was trying to incorporate a little more carbs and same thing I will feel good, but not that long.

Speaker 1:

I really feel like when I follow the, the flow of my cycle, like you were supposed to do, I feel the best where you're having a little less carbs in the beginning and a little more towards your like the progesterone time where you're about to get your period. So that seems to be where I feel the best. And I don't really know anyone else right now in my life that eats in that way other than on social media. And well, maybe maybe Dr Goldie, who I'm having on really soon, maybe she does because she's really into the feminine energy cycle. That's a great question for me to ask her if she eats like that. But it really feels good for me. That seems to be what works the best and I think when I try to fight it. I find myself just having less energy, feeling extra bloated, feeling like I'm like too full or not full enough, and so really trying to tap in with your body and what works best for you, I think that when we have all of these outside influences on social media, in person, whatever it gets a little harder to really listen to what we need and what we have to do.

Speaker 1:

I mean, how many times have you guys been on some kind of like program, right, whether it's for, like, your strength training or your eating habits or, you know, schoolwork or whatever and you see somebody doing something else and you're like, wait a minute, that seems to be working really good for them. Like maybe I should jump and do that like your little little program hopper. You know and I know I know you guys could deny it till the cows come home, but I've witnessed this so many times with people that I've coached talking about what they've done in the past Hair clients. I have one hair client in particular, you guys, that I feel like she's on to the next thing so quickly and so constantly that I literally can't keep up. I'm like, oh wait, but weren't you just doing this? Oh, weren't you just doing that.

Speaker 1:

And the problem with any of that is like you never give anything enough time to work, like you really don't, like you never give your body and your life a chance because you're giving, you know, you're always on to the next thing. And so if that's someone that's truly not listening to their intuition, because you're just being guided by outside sources so I'm being guided to the, to the beach today for some answers, apparently, and I want you to just really tune into your intuition. You guys, what do you really need? What works best for you? And I want you to also, on that note of tuning into your intuition, the best way to do it is to get a little quiet. So, you know, sitting in a meditation, finding time for yourself, you are.

Speaker 1:

It's really hard to hear your intuition when you're like go, go, go, like it really is, and I can attest to that a million times over like when I never take time to slow down is when I feel like I get the most disconnected from myself, in the most unaligned, because you just don't have the time to listen. So, you know, being very open and and this is so important, you guys, when you get these intuitive hits, like listening to them and not discrediting them. So you might be, you know, at the gym, on the treadmill, on a walk and all this enemy like I should do some yoga later, like my body really needs it. And then you're like, eh, I don't have time for that shit. You know what I mean. You are literally your body's giving you a message and you're like, nope, I'm not listening to this message today. I'll listen to this message tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

And eventually your body, your mind, your higher self's like dude, this chick isn't even gonna listen anyways. Like why am I going to keep giving her messages? She never follows through, she never listens. It's another way to really quickly tune out your higher self, your guides, everything. Because you know, quite frankly, like why continue to come bring you messages if you never listen?

Speaker 1:

And when you do get messages, you second guess them. So when you hear something, you have to trust yourself. Like, oh man, I am feeling this for a reason, especially if you feel like you keep getting the same message in multiple ways. Like you know, somebody tells you about a really amazing book and you're like, oh yeah, that seems good, I'll look it up. And you never look it up.

Speaker 1:

And then, a month later, someone's like you know what? I just finished the most amazing book. And it's that book again. And you're like, oh my god, I almost got that book like a month ago, and for some reason I never got it. I'll look it up and you don't. And then the next thing that you know, someone literally drops that book in your hand on your doorstep, whatever it is right, and you're like shit dude, the universe really wants me to have this book. That's how messages work. You guys, and sometimes universe, will be very, very persistent and keep trying to get the message to you. And other times I just think at some point, if you're not gonna listen, if the message is gonna stop coming, you know. So that's all I got for you today. I'm gonna enjoy the rest of this drive and get ready for the beach. I hope you have a great rest of your day. Bye.
